General Purposes Meets on regular Lodge Nights at 7:00 p.m.,
December, at 6:30 p.m.
All Members
Masonic Education & Instruction Seek out, discuss, recommend and facilitate speakers to present at lodge on topics relevant to Freemasonry or of interest to the group.
Social & Entertainment Discuss, recommend, and plan events outside of lodge that promote fellowship amongst the brethren. Also facilitate activities on emergent nights when there is no meeting.
Cornerstone Program Oversee the ‘Cornerstone Project’ initiatives for the lodge by selecting those Standards the Lodge plans to work towards and charge the relevant committee with the task.
Public Image Develop and execute a plan to promote the fraternity’s history, charitable work, and purpose. They would organize events like the annual open house, write articles for the Port Reporter, and suggest other initiatives to increase awareness of Freemasonry.
New Member Onboarding & Mentors Develop a specific process and materials for introducing and engaging all new members. This committee would also be in charge of the mentorship program.
By-Law Revision (AD-HOC) The Bylaws of Seymour Lodge No.277 were last updated on October 10th, 2007. This committee will discuss and recommend updates and will cease to exist upon rec. of new by-laws.
